Trunk or Treat!

Have you ever heard of "Trunk or Treat"?
Neither did I until this week!
For the first time, our school participated
in this.  People decorate the trunk of their
vehicles and pass out candy.  I don't know if
it's supposed to take the place of Trick-or-Treating,
but it was definitely a good time.
What you can't see in this picture
is the zombie busting out of
the car window on the roof!
The little zombie actually
sat there gnawing on an arm.
This is one of our cub scout
"chiefs".  He's working towards
his Eagle badge.
This man was so funny!
He got into dancing and
shaking it!
The hardest part was trying to
take pictures.  Every time I had a
perfect shot, a big head, usually
Mary or Nicolai's, would get
right in front of the camera.
Not all were spooky.  Three cars did
the movie "Frozen."
 I preferred the Spooky!
This was cute.  She had the kids
walk the plank to her trunk.
 And she had pirate booty!
The night didn't end there.
We ran out of there to go to
the cub scout Halloween party.
This is Kevin, one of my co-leaders.
And by 9:00, my head was splitting
wide open.  We came home and while the
kids over-indulged in candy, I too, helped
myself to some of their chocolate...and
maybe just a wee bit of wine.

  1. what a fun event! I love the idea. and how fun would it be to create some sort of spooky (or just plain halloween cute) vignette in a trunk!
    have a great week!
