A Very Vintage Christmas

It's been so long since I've written.
Long story short, I re-entered the workforce
after 10 years of being a stay-at-home mom to
work with special needs students at a local
elementary school.  That, along with other curve balls
life has thrown our way these past few months has
taken Ted and me to the edge a few times.  To say it's been
an adjustment would be an extreme understatement!
But, God was faithful.  He didn't let us fall!
Today we celebrated Thanksgiving
by staying at home (ahhhhh!).  The kids
decorated for Christmas, which has become our
annual tradition.  I never realized how many
vintage ornaments we've collected!
Soooooo....if you're a lover of vintage
Christmas, enjoy the pictures of our newly
decorated Christmas tree.

No sooner did we get the tree up, did
Oreo claim his spot!
Hope you've all been well and are enjoying
this Thanksgiving Day.

  1. Glad to hear things got better for you guys, life can really make us feel a little out of control! Congratulations on your job thats so cool my youngest sister Mary just started back in the workforce and she too is working with special needs children, that I am sure is very rewarding. I will be busy this weekend babysitting a couple of little grand-peeps.. should be fun I am very Thankful oxox

  2. Im glad things are feeling better for you! I had wondered where you were. Things usually have a way of working themselves out, we just have to ride the wave out..
Im glad you had a nice thanksgiving! your ornies are all perfectly sweet! and I hope you get to post more now with the christmas season here.

  3. Congrats on the job, nice! Love all the vintage ornaments, they remind me of my grandparents :)

  4. I've been checking every once in awhile to see if You've posted. What a happy treat for Me to see You have been here. Isn't it a little strange no matter where We are in the US,We all had the same ornaments in our homes.Maybe not because times are the same,we still have all the same stores to shop from.Merry Christmas to the four of You.I miss Your art and crafts but there will be time in the future for You to play as much as You like-Denise
